Tour description:

If you are looking for a bit more excitement and adventure on your vacation, extreme canyoning is the right choice for you. It is the best and most beautiful excursion you can currently try in Croatia. During extreme canyoning on the river Cetina we will jump from 10 m cliff, also our professional guide will bring you down 55 m with the rope near biggest waterfall in Croatia, that will leave an unforgettable experience. All this will be combined with swimming through crystal clear river, hiking in some parts, sliding through the rapids, passing through the beautiful tunnels, and ultimately, as reward for your effort, peek in the cave located in the heart of the waterfall.

Canyoning takes place on the river Cetina, which is 105 km long and stretches from Vrlika village, where it rises from underground to the town of Omiš where it flows into the Adriatic Sea. Cetina is very commercial, so along it’s way you will find many excursions such as canyoning, rafting and kayaking.

Caynoning takes place in the village Zadvarje where river Cetina, by thousands of years of its flow, formed an amazing waterfall with fascinating stone sculptures and stone cliffs stretching over us. This paradise for your eyes with its charms and sounds of intact nature represents a real aesthetic experience making this sport an attractive, unique entertainment.

The difference between basic and extreme canyoning is that doing extreme, guides take down their clients with professional equipment from 55 m high cliff, while clients doing basic overcome that part by hiking to the point where they all meet again.

Our company will provide you with canyoning equipment that is registered and certified by the EU standards and consists of neoprene, helmet, life vest, climbing harnes and our adventure can start.

Frequently Asked Questions About Extreme Canyoning

Both adventures run through the exact same section of the river. The key difference is that the Extreme version includes a 55-meter alpine rope descent (rappelling) guided by our professionals right next to a massive waterfall.

Not at all! You don’t need any prior background to join. In fact, the majority of our guests are trying this activity for the very first time.

You only need a standard, basic level of physical fitness to participate. If we measure it on a scale from 1 to 5, a fitness level of 2 or 3 is perfectly sufficient.

Please inform our guides privately before the tour begins if you have any medical conditions we should be aware of. If you need to bring medication, such as an asthma inhaler, our guides will safely store it in their waterproof bags and ensure it is readily available to you whenever needed.

Yes, children must be at least 10 years old to join the Basic tour. For the Extreme version, the minimum age requirement is 12.

Absolutely! If some members of your party prefer the Basic option, you can still go together. While the Extreme participants do the rope rappel, the Basic group will simply hike around that specific section. Everyone regroups in about 15 to 20 minutes to finish the rest of the canyoning trip together.

No, jumping is completely optional. Every jump on the route has a walking bypass, so you can easily skip them if you choose.

We equip you with everything needed, including a full body 5mm neoprene wetsuit, a safety helmet, a life vest, and a harness complete with suit protection.

Please pack a swimsuit, a towel, and dry clothes to change into afterward. You also must bring sturdy running shoes, as flip flops and beach footwear are strictly prohibited.

You can wear prescription glasses, but they must be securely strapped to prevent losing them in the water. Sunglasses aren’t really needed since the canyon is mostly shaded, but if you bring them, they must also be tied down.

Yes, your things will be securely locked inside our minibus while you are in the canyon. They will be waiting for you safely when you finish the adventure.

As an adrenaline based adventure in a natural river setting, inherent risks do exist. However, we operate under the strictest safety protocols to minimize those risks. For your own safety, you must strictly follow all behavioral instructions given by your guide.
